Usage-Based Refund Policy

Due to the nature of our AI-powered service with real-time infrastructure and processing costs, refunds are generally limited. However, we understand edge cases happen and strive to be fair.

Refund Eligibility Requirements:

  • You've generated fewer than 10 models over the lifetime of your account
  • You've downloaded fewer than 5 models
  • The request falls under one of our approved scenarios below

When We Grant Full Refunds

Examples of situations where we're happy to provide full refunds:

  • Accidental charges: If you were just charged for your next month of service but you meant to cancel
  • Forgotten cancellations: If you forgot to cancel your account a couple months ago and haven't used it since then, we'll give you a full refund for a few back months
  • Technical issues: If you experienced significant technical problems that prevented you from using the service
  • Billing errors: Any incorrect charges or duplicate payments

When Refunds Are Not Available

  • If you've already used Matzed to create 3D models or uploaded your own models
  • After generating 10 or more models or downloading 5 or more models

Why These Limitations Exist

This policy prevents abuse while keeping our service sustainable:

  • AI generation and infrastructure costs are incurred immediately when you use the service
  • GPU processing time and API calls have real costs that can't be recovered
  • During signup, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the nature of the service

Refund Process

  • Include details about your situation and account usage
  • We'll review your request within 1-2 business days
  • Approved refunds will be processed using your original payment method

Subscription Management

You can cancel your subscription at any time:

  • Your subscription won't renew after cancellation
  • You will not be charged again
  • Access continues until the end of your current billing period
  • Manage your subscription through your account settings or Stripe portal
